Siaya, Migori to spend Sh.12.5 million to swear in Orengo and Ochilo

Siaya County will spend Sh.12.5 million the swear in Governor-elect James Orengo and his deputy William Oduol.

Siaya County Secretary Joseph Ogutu said that the amount will cover for preparation arrangements of the event at KMTC grounds in Siaya as set by the Assumption of the Office of the Governor committee.

“The committee has been planning for their swearing in for about one month and today we are ready for the swearing-in ceremony,” said Ogutu.

Some of the guests will be travelling, they will be sleeping here and tomorrow their security is guaranteed and everyone is welcomed to stay in Siaya County for the ceremony tomorrow and even after tomorrow

Siaya County Commissioner Jim Njoka also assured guests of security at the event.

Migori

Migori county on the other hand will spend Sh.5 million to swear in Governor Ochilo Ayako and his deputy deputy Joseph Mahiri at Migori stadium.

All preparations are complete. Everything required from the ceremony is ready, right from instruments of power, to the sitting arrangement, to even reception preparations.

Migori County Secretary Christopher Rosana confirmed that they were ready for the ceremony and assured residents of a successful event.

All the events are slated for Thursday, August 25th in the respective venues from 9.00am.
