Raila lauds Karua for staying calm during the Deputy Presidential Debate

Azimio La Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga has congratulated his running mate Martha Karua following her performance at the Deputy Presidential Debate on Tuesday.

The debate saw Agano Party’s Ruth Mucheru face Justina Wamae of the Roots Party, while Martha Karua took the stage against Kenya Kwanza Alliance’s Rigathi Gachagua.

Speaking on Twitter Odinga lauded Karua for her composure during the debate amid provocation by her opponent.

“Your poise, mastery of subject matters, and staying calm even when provoked were impressive. I congratulate my able deputy and team member @MarthaKarua,” tweeted Raila.

“The Azimio family stands proud of your performance during last night’s debate,” it furthered.

Karua’s Net Worth

During the debate Karua disclosed her worth which she said was Sh.150 million.

“I think just around Ksh.150 million and this is because the Ksh.56 million I had declared in 2013 has appreciated because of inflation,” she said.

The Presidential Debate is set for July 26th.
