Baba it is for Ukur Yatani’s UPIA party

UPIA party is the latest political outfit to support ODM leader Raila Odinga’s presidential bid ahead of the August polls.

The party leader, Treasury CS Ukur Yatani made the announcement during the National Delegates Convention (NDC) held at the Bomas of Kenya on Wednesday.

During his speech, Raila thanked the party delegates for endorsing him for  the country’s top job citing that he will be committed to serve the nation.

“I want to sincerely thank the UPIA delegates for  trusting in me to be the next president of this nation, ” he said.

Raila also cited that the March 2018 handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta played a part in uniting the nation, saying that he had the country’s best interest at heart.

“The handshake between me and President Kenyatta united all Kenyans so that move forward together as a country, ” said Raila.

UPIA party was formed by Northern Kenya leaders to champion for interests of the region.
