Keroche Breweries owner Tabitha Karanja has officially joined the hustler movement ahead of the August 9, general election.

Karanja who is eying Nakuru Senatorial seat joined the Deputy President William Ruto’s party during their joint rally with ANC on Wednesday at the Nakuru Showground.

Speaking at the rally, Karanja said that she will use the bottoms up economic model to improve the livelihoods of the residents saying that it will help in reducing the harsh taxation by the government.

“I want to be the next Senator for Nakuru so that the laws that are made at the top do not oppress people on the ground,” said Karanja.

The founder of the liquor manufacturer said that she has used Ruto’s economic model idea to operate her company and now she wishes to extend it further to the community.

“I have also listened to the Deputy President on the bottoms up economic model. I am a practical example of the model and I have used it for the last 25 years,” she furthered.

Ruto hailed her for being a hustler who started from humble beginnings and set up a big firm employing hundreds of people.

Karanja said that she will use the buy Kenya build Kenya strategy, urging the Deputy President to embrace it to support local industries.
