Suna East parliamentary candidate Patrick Odipo has refuted zoning claims by members of the Azimio coalition.

Jawasweta as he is popularly known termed the claims as propaganda.

Odipo who is contesting under the Movement for Democracy and Growth (MDG) party said those propelling the agenda are cowards.

It is too late to bring the zoning agenda. As Azimio affiliated parties, we are cleared and are ready to face off in the ballot

According to him if IEBC cleared all the aspirants in the coalition then the zoning agenda is non-issue.

“It is too late to bring the zoning agenda. As Azimio affiliated parties, we are cleared and are ready to face off in the ballot,” Odipo stated.

Odipo further noted that all the parties under the coalition will be part of Raila’s Nyanza tour.

He said that Odinga’s visit to Migori is as Azimio presidential candidate and not as an ODM party leader.

“We are inside Azimio as coalition partners. And as partners we are expecting our leader whom we must welcome,” he said.

Six piece call

The six piece call has been common among ODM candidates who declared the county as an ODM zone.

However, this has not settled well with non ODM candidates.

Downplaying the six-piece narrative, Odipo stated the decision on who becomes the next Member of Parliament should be left to the voters.

Suna East parliamentary race has attracted five candidates among them the incumbent Junet Mohamed of the ODM, Samuel Amimo, Elijah Odhiambo and Elias Otieno who are all vying as independent candidates.
