Cash Money Brother Prezzo has joined the Kasarani Parliamentary race.

Prezzo whose official name is Jackson Makini Ngechu who ditched Kalonzo Musyoka’s Wiper Democratic Party did not however disclose which party he will be using for the August 9, election.

Prezzo took to his Instagram page on Monday, posting his resignation letter from the Wiper Party, but maintained that he had much respect for the party leader.

“All in all, I will forever be thankful to the wiper party leader HE Kalonzo Musyoka and wish the party all the best in their future endeavors,“ Prezzo wrote.

The announcement came after a long silence by the ‘Mafans’ hit maker who has also taken a long break from music.

Prezzo began his political ambition when he vied for Kibra Parliamentary seat during a by-election after the death of the then MP Ken Okoth in 2019.

The rapper’s message shows that he has seemingly changed his mind about running for Kibra parliamentary seat any more.

He urged Kasarani residents to register as voters and vote him in the August 9, election.

He again told the residents not to elect deceiving politicians saying; “wengi wao wanaenda studio kupiga picha kama wamevaa tai na wamekunja shati kuwafunikia macho. Tusiwe vipofu. KASARANI watu wangu.”
