Kisumu traders to occupy the new Uhuru Business Park

The County Government of Kisumu will on Wednesday 30th March, 2022 open the new Uhuru Business Park Market Complex to marketed traders.

According to the notice by the City Manager,Abala Wanga , the market will only be open to traders who have genuine ballots.

“The market complex shall only be open to successfully balloted traders who posses genuine ballots,” read the notice in part.

“Upon verification by the market management team for settlement they will be issued by the County Commissioner and the Governor, ” it furthered.

The notice further indicated that the traders will be required to carry along their national identity cards together with the ballot document.

The traders had been initially evicted to allow for the renovation of Kisumu Port in 2019.

More than 4000 traders are expected to occupy the market.
