Celebrations as Hekima School attains highest mean score ever

There was joy and celebrations at Hekima School, Migosi, in Kisumu following their stellar performance in the 2021 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education.

The school attained its highest ever mean score of 381.4, with the management attributing it to hard work.

According to the Director Dr Richard Guya Membo, before the 2021 kcpe results were released, the highest score was 379.1.

“This is something that we are proud of and we want to appreciate everyone who contributed to this good result,” said Membo.

In 2021, the school registered 27 kcpe candidates, with 12 of them scoring 400 marks and above.

The top students Owino Wendi Irene and Otieno Nyamboga Cyril tied at 415 marks.

“This year we were well prepared and we made sure the students were well taught and we’re ready for the examination,” he said.

“We thank God for the good results and hope that the students will join good schools,” he furthered.

Only two pupils scored below 300 marks.

“This was the highest mean the institution has ever recorded and we are happy with the results,” said school head Peter Okello.

Magata Bruce Mackenzie emerged the top student nationally with 428 marks followed closely by Ashley Kerubo who scored 427 marks.
