I will inherit the good from President Kenyatta government, says Raila

ODM leader Raila Odinga has said he will only inherit the positive things from the government of outgoing president, Uhuru Kenyatta.

Speaking at Catham House in London, UK, Raila said there are a number of good things that have taken place under the leadership of President Kenyatta that his administration would carry on with.

The Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate said while at it, there are similarly negative things that he will not carry.

“Even President Kenyatta has admitted that there are bad things in his government, like the loss of Sh2 billion every day from the government coffers. These are things we shall not allow to happen,” he said.

He said President Kenyatta had been held hostage by his deputy William Ruto who had formed an opposition from within government, making it difficult to fight the corruption monster.

He cited examples of corruption suspects who have been arraigned, only for the DP to come to their defense claiming that his people are being vilified for supporting him.

Raila said he had demonstrated his resolve to fight corruption in the past when he suspended two ministers during his grand coalition government with former President Mwai Kibaki.
