Aspirants can now apply to participate in ODM party primaries

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has started receiving applications for aspirants seeking the party ticket ahead of August 9, polls.

In a notice issued by the party’s National Elections Board, the party officially opened the applications for all the positions except the presidential seat.

The notice was signed by the board chairperson Catherine Muma.

Azimio Agreement

The Raila Odinga led party is yet to release its nomination dates following the ongoing talks for coalition among parties associated with Azimio la Umoja.

“Note that the party is expected to discuss the nomination process under the Azimio Party and the NEB will share the agreed process after the conclusion of the negotiated agreement,” read the notice in part.

The applications will run until March 13.
