The British Broadcasting Cooperation (BBC) is yet again seeking for the seventh journalist to walk home with the 2022 BBC World News Komla Dumor award.

The award, which allows for journalists to spend three months at the BBC headquarters in London to receive journalistic training and have an international experience was created to honour Ghanaian journalist for BBC Komla Dumor who died in 2014.

Dumor was the first ever BBC presenter to be dedicated a daily TV news program in English for the African audience broadcasted on BBC World News.

The winner of this prestigious award will also have an opportunity to travel to an African country of choice and report on a story they have researched on.

Kenya’s Citizen TV news anchor Victoria Rubadiri is the latest winner of the annual award which aims at celebrating talented journalists in the African continent.

Applications for the award will end on February 16.
