Former Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma lands State Job in President Ruto’s appointments

Former Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma is the new Chairperson of the SACCO Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA).

Ranguma who is among the Nyanza leaders who joined President William Ruto’s government landed the role after George Murathe’s appointment was revoked.

Other appointments in the gazette notice on Friday by Co-operatives and Small and Medium Enterprises Development CS Simon Chelugui include former Law Society of Kenya President Nelson Havi who have been appointed as chairpersons of the boards of Rivatex.

Others  include dental surgeon Samier Muravvej who has been appointed to be the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Kenyatta National Hospital, former Nambale MP Sakwa Bunyasi who is now Chairperson of the Kenya Vision 2030 Delivery Board.

The Appointments

Here are other appointees, some of whom have been appointed by respective Cabinet Secretaries:

  • Daniel Chemno to be the Chairperson of the Board of Directors for the New Kenya Planters Co-operative Union.
  • Nasri Sahal as Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Northern Water Works Development Agency.
  • John Lekuton (Dr.) and Osman Abdi Sirat as members of the Board of Directors of Northern Water Works Development Agency. 
  • Elias Shill and Christine Jepkoech as members of the Board of Directors of Northern Water Works Development Agency.
  • James Gathaka Wanyaga be the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Tana Water Works Development Agency.
  • Regina Ndambuki to be the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Tanathi Water Works Development Agency.
  • Cleophas Lagat to be the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Rivatex East Africa Limited.
  • Lily Ng’ok to be the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Industrial Estates.
  • Hussein Tene Debasso to be the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Kenya National Trading Corporation.
  • Ali Menza Mbogo to be the Non-Executive Chairperson of Kenya Tsetse and Trypanosomiasis Eradication Council.
  • Samier Muravvej to be the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Kenyatta National Hospital.
  • Nelson Havi to be a Member and Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Retirement Benefits Authority.
  • Jane Kiptoo to be the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Bomas of Kenya.
  • Charles Muriuki Njagagua to be the Chairperson of the Board of Directors OF the Consolidated Bank Limited.
  • Daniel Rono as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority.
  • Patrick Musili to be the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Athi Water Works Development Agency,
  • Yusuf Chanzu to be the Chairperson of the National Housing Corporation.
  • Robert Theuri Maina to be the Chairperson of the Kenya National Library Services Board.
  • Edick Omondi Anyanga to be the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Nuclear Regulatory Authority.
  • Shaka Kariuki to be the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Competition Authority.
  • Sakwa Bunyasi to be the Chairperson of the Kenya Vision 2030 Delivery Board.
  • Ngeny Biwott to be the Chairperson of the Board of the Special Economic Zones Authority.
  • Moses Wekesa Mwambu Mabonga to be the Chairperson of the Insurance Regulatory Authority.
  • Sally Njambi Mahihu to be the Chairperson of the Board of the Kenya Investment Authority.
  • Margaret Karanja as a member of the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse Board.
  • Amin Deddy Mohamed Ali to be a member and Chairperson of the Board of the Local Authorities Provident Fund.
  • Beatrice Kones to be a member of the Board of Directors of the Local Authorities Provident Fund.
  • Francis Kigo Njenga as a Member and Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Unclaimed Financial Assets Authority.
  • Peter Anchinga — Chairperson Francis Kivuli — Member Under Paragraph (d)—   Christopher Mwangi Ahmed — Member to be members of the Disciplinary Committee of the Council of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya.
  • Nimo Omar Haji, Carol Oduor, Richard Munyao, Simon Kalekem, Under paragraph (g)— Ephraim Karimi Macharia, Charles Nyabuti, to be members of the Board of Directors of the National Transport and Safety Authority.
  • David Maina Kamiru as a member of the Board of Directors of the New Kenya Co-operative Creameries Limited.
  • Duke Mainga Ondiba Echate to be the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Commodities Fund.
  • Irine Ogamba, Dennis Muthomi Gitari as members of the National Health Insurance Fund.
  • Wilfred Lesan (DR.) to be the Chairperson of the Trustees of the Kenya Hospital Authority Trust Fund (KHATF).
  • Zippie Metto to be a member of the Tourism Fund.
  • Francis Mugo to be Chairperson of the Scrap Metal Council.
  • Josephat Gichunge Mwirabua Kabeabea to be a member and Chairperson of Board of Directors of the AntiCounterfeit Authority.
  • Jack Ranguma to be a Member and Chairperson of Board of Directors of the SACCO Societies Regulatory Authority.
  • Ricky W. Kambi,  Dorcas Jibran,  Ikhwan Omar Bwanaadi,  Bibi Salim Masha,  Toash George Amuma,  Robert Mue Kisyula,  Benson Muema Kilonzo, as members of the Board of Directors of the Coast Development Authority.

They will serve for a period of 3 years.
