Babu to Supreme Court: There is no peace in our hearts

Embakasi East Member of Parliament elect Babu Owino has expressed displeasure in the country’s quality of elections.

According to the legislator the forms presented as part of evidence in the Supreme Court by the Azimio team show massive malpractices in the election.

Taking to social media Owino lamented over Kenya’s election incredibility, unfairness and citing that it has high levels of dishonesty urging the court to give them justice.

“This culture of theft must stop in this country. We must never confuse calmness with Peace. There is no Peace in our hearts. Let whatever happen to happen,” wrote Babu.

His post has since sparked various reactions from the public.

@captain korir wrote, “The Supreme Court of Kenya should go fast to overturn Azimio petition. Look at this original form 34As of Chebunyo polling station from Bomet, it has the same figures as that which was uploaded to the IEBC portal.”

The Case

The Azimio team filed a case on Monday 22nd seeking to nullify declaration of William Ruto as president.

The petition also claims a lack of transparency and accountability at the tallying centers.

The case is set to be determined by the seven bench judges at the Supreme Court led by Chief Justice Martha Koome on Monday, September 5th.
