Migori First Lady Hellen Obado is a lone ranger in the race to become the county’s third Woman Representative.

The Governor’s wife now says her husband has deserted her campaigns despite working hard to make him the county boss.

Hellen says her husband Governor Okoth Obado has distanced himself from her campaigns forcing her to walk alone.

You know how I really worked hard to ensure Obado becomes the governor. Sadly today he has distanced himself from supporting me. I am alone

“Since I launched my bid to become the third women representative for this county, Obado is nowhere to be seen,” said Hellen.

“You know how I really worked hard to ensure Obado becomes the governor. Sadly today he has distanced himself from supporting me. I am alone,” she furthered.

While drumming support for her candidature Hellen said her main goal was to continue with the development projects from her predecessor.

“I will pick from where my predecessor left, that is my main goal,” she affirmed.

Hellen further declined to offer support to any other aspirant in Migori.

“I will not campaign for any aspirant eyeing for any elective seat in Migori County. Instead, I am ready to work with whoever you will elect,” said Hellen.

She further rubbished the calls for a six-piece voting pattern stating that Azimio coalition leader Raila Odinga is deputized by a non-ODM deputy.

Hellen also called on voters to have political tolerance to all aspirants as she urged them to maintain peace during this election period.

Hellen is contesting on an independent party ticket.
