I must make my mom proud,Akothee vows as she goes back to class.

Musician Esther Akoth popularly known as Akothee has revealed that she is pursing her University degree.

Through an Instagram post the singer revealed to her to her fans that attaining a degree has been her mother’s wish and she is in to make that dream come true.

“The things I am struggling with at menopause, when I was supposed to be in school, I decided to be a wife now instead of being a wife, I am now in school at old age this life has no balance at all,” she said.

“But I must attain my degree for my mum so she is happy at home, ” she furthered.

Dropping out of school

The business woman dropped out of high school in form two and re-enrolled at Wasio Mixed Secondary School in 2004 where she attained a C+.

The mother of five posted her assignment as she cited that she is now used to waking up early to attend her classes.

“Waking up at 4:30 am is now a norm, huu mwaka hauna kulala,” she said.

The controversial musician however has 2 graduates in her household.
