Third best KCPE student wants to attend to brains

It was song and dance as Golden Elites School in Kisumu produced the third best student in nationally in the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams.

Keith Nimrod Ochieng scored 429 marks out of the possible 500.

His performance, bringing back a bright light into the long-time KCPE giant which has missed in action for 12 years.

The second born in the family of three wants to join Alliance High School, and later become a neurosurgeon.

“I want to join Alliance High School and become a neurosurgeon,” he said.

Brain Disorders

According to Nimrod, once he has studied neuro surgery, one of his main mission will be to treat brain disorders.

His parents, Kennedy Ocheng and Solrei Akinyi said Nimrod has been a disciplined boy and the results were not a surprise to them.

“The boy has been good and this good performance is no surprise because of his hard work,” he said.

Celebrations at Golden Elites

His mother said the son who is always silent was addicted to good performance and could wake up at 4.00 am every day to read.

The overjoyed father who works with the Kenya Defence Forces in Rusinga said he was proud of his boy, and will support him in all he wants to achieve in life.

“I will do anything to make sure he becomes who he wants,” he said.
