On Friday, November 18, John Okelo, was found dead along a pathway near his home by Nyang’oma sub-location Assistant Chief Michael Osare.

It was alleged that he was murdered by his neighbour Jared Ochieng over a land dispute.

Police Report

Police in Bondo, Siaya County, have launched investigations into the death of a 70-year-old whose body was taken to Bondo sub-county hospital mortuary to await post-mortem.

According to Bondo sub-county Police Commander Ibrahim Kosi, the police found no visible injuries on Mr. Okelo’s body but were able to establish that they had fought over the protracted land dispute.

As investigations begin into the matter the police urged members of the public to seek other avenues to solve their disputes or seek government intervention.
