Here is how Justin Muturi made Sh 400 Million in one year

Attorney General nominee Justin Muturi has revealed that he is worth Sh700 million.

The Former National Assembly Speaker said that his sources of income were mainly derived from farming activities and consultancy services.

He made these revelations while addressing the 15-member vetting committee in Parliament.

I have been a very modest civil servant and my net worth is currently estimated at just about Sh700 million,” said Muturi.

2021 Net Worth

In November 2021, Muturi declared his wealth saying that he had amassed a net worth of Sh.300 million.

“I am worth approximately Sh300 million most of my property was acquired through bank loans and civil servant remuneration for 36 years,” said Muturi.

The Sh700 million net worth now implicates that Muturi’s wealth grew by Sh400 million in one year.

New salary

According to the law, retired speakers get a monthly pension of Sh554,400, a lump sum send-off of Sh13.8 million and a monthly fuel allowance of Sh173,250.

If his nomination as AG is approved, he will also be entitled to a monthly salary of Sh 924,000.

Nominees seeking to be approved ought to declare their wealth during the vetting process.

The vetting process will conclude on Saturday, October 22nd
