Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha wants the incoming President to consider him in his next government.

This he says will give him more time to oversee the construction of CBC classrooms into completion.

While acknowledging that they are in final stages of rolling out the Competency-Based Curriculum, the CS said he still needs time under the next administration to ensure all classrooms are completed.

I hope that before that person is sworn in, can allow me to finish the remaining classrooms

“We intend to complete most of the CBC classrooms by election time, should there be a small balance, since I am not a politician, and you can judge me on that, only God knows who will be the president, I don’t know and whoever comes in will be my commander in chief,” said Magoha.

“I hope that before that person is sworn in, can allow me to finish the remaining classrooms,” he furthered.

Immediate closure

Magoha had earlier directed the closure of all basic education institutions starting Tuesday, August 2.

Students will resume school on Thursday 11th August, 2022.
