Azimio coalition presidential running mate Martha Karua on Wednesday toured Homa Bay County to drum up support Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga.

Karua urged residents to turn out in large numbers to vote for the ODM party leader.

“Nyanza people, i beseech you to come out in large number and vote for our presidential candidate in the August poll,” she said.

Karua however distanced herself from the six piece call by ODM party members in the region.

She did not endorse any candidate saying that the voters should vote for candidates of their choice from the Azimio coalition.

“Sina kura hapa, lakini mambo mengine mtajipanga nyinyi wenyewe, (I don’t have votes here you will have to make some decisions of your own,” said Karua.

“Several aspirants vying for various seats are in Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition,” she furthered.

Other leaders who attended the rally include Azimio presidential campaign chairman John Mbadi, Homa Bay gubernatorial aspirant Gladys Wanga, Lilian Gogo, Millie Odhiambo, Adipo Okuome, Opondo Kaluma, Moses Kajwang among other leaders.

Mbadi on the other hand urged the electorates to vote for six piece pattern to ensure Odinga has the majority of Members of Parliament.

“Raila Odinga maybe impeached should he get less number required in the National Assembly,” Mbadi said.

He also urged residents and aspirants to preach peace during and even after elections.
