Fuel prices have gone up yet in another month in the latest maximum price review by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA).

The cost of all fuel products is expected to rise by Ksh.5.50 per litre effective from Sunday midnight.

In the review on Saturday, super petrol will cost Sh150.12 in Nairobi while Diesel and kerosene per litre will cost Sh131.00 and Sh118.94 respectively.

The government will utilize the petroleum development levy to cushion customers from the unusually otherwise high prices

EPRA Director John Mutua

Last month, fuel prices increased by Sh9.90 pushing the price of petrol to Sh144.62.

EPRA Director John Mutua attributed the price jump to an increase in the average landed cost of the fuel products with kerosene marking the highest price jump at 31.13 per cent.

“The government will utilize the petroleum development levy to cushion customers from the unusually otherwise high prices,” Mutua said.
