The residents of Mechimeru village woke up to shock after a man stabbed his wife after a family feud.

However, as soon as the duo left the suspect became violent and stabbed his wife.

“He earlier left but when he came back, he found her preparing supper, he took a knife and stabbed her,” narrated Baraza.

The 35-year-old woman was rushed to Bungoma County Referral Hospital where she is receiving treatment.

Confirming the incident Bungoma South police commander Francis Kimwele, said the suspect was nabbed and is being detained in Bungoma central police station.

He further noted that further investigations are ongoing.

The family is now seeking justice pleading with the authorities to take full action on the victim.

“We call on the authorities to give him what he deserves, no mistake should be made because if he gets loose, then we will be forced to forget about our sister,” said the victims brother.
