The 2022 Africa Cup of Nations final is set to be Liverpool Football Club Affair.

Two lethal Liverpool strikers Sadio Mane of Senegal and Egypt’s Mohammed Salah will share the pitch, but as opponents as opposed from their partnerships at Liverpool.

Despite the two teams having other lethal players plying their trade in the famous English Premier League and other European leagues, Salah and Mane will be the centre of attraction.

When reporting for the competitions, Mane prayed that he play against Salah in the tournament’s final.

His prayer came true, and the two will be facing off.

Egypt ruled out the hosts Cameroon in the semi-final in a rather easy penalty shootout while Senegal sailed through the final after having a 3-1 victory over Burkina Faso.

Senegal is seeking for its first ever title but are now in the final for third time after losing to Algeria in the last AFCON tournament in 2019.

Egypt having eight titles are again hoping to bring back the glory home since 2010.

Salah has recorded an exemplary performance as well as Mane and this will be a clash of all times as the two Africa’s best players face off in the Sunday’s final.

It was a heartbreak for the hosts Cameroon but they must search for the third place if they thrush Burkina Faso on Saturday.

The tournament is now down to a clash of the Liverpool’s best forwards for the final showdown at Olembe Stadium on Sunday February 6, at 10pm East African Time.

Whoever lifts the trophy, between Mane and Salah will have bragging rights when they return to the Liverpool dressing room.
