Bungoma’s GPO ground was on Thursday a beehive of activities as preparations hit the peak ahead of UDA, ANC, and Ford Kenya joint rally.
Speaking at the ground during an inspection tour of the venue, local and national leaders urged residents of Bungoma County to turn up large numbers to welcome the leaders.
UDA-affiliated legislators Didmas Baraza and John Waluke and a host of MCAs led a team which visited the location to supervise the ongoing works.
They reaffirmed their support for the UDA party and its national leaders and noted that the new coalition with the Mulembe chiefs was a muscle boost for the team
“We welcome our leader and the many visitors that will accompany him here to feel at home,” said Baraza.
“We are peaceful people and we urge our supporters to turn out early Thursday and make the day a success,” he continued.
Aspiring Woman Representative on UDA ticket Maria Nato on her part lauded the collaboration between the three parties saying it promotes inclusivity.
“There is only one father in every household. In Bungoma County, there is no doubt we recognize and appreciate Moses Wetangula as our political father here. We urge our youths to remain disciplined especially in during the event which will have a national face,” she said.
