Migori Governor aspirant Phillip Mwabe has dismissed claims that he has quit the gubernatorial race.

Mwabe’s sentiments come following ongoing reports that he is now contemplating switching to Senatorial race.

“I am aware of the cheap propaganda going round that there has been a boardroom negotiation for me to step down from the governor race and instead focus on the senator seat, those are just words but not mine,” Mwabe said.

He will be facing Senator Ochillo Ayacko, Woman Representative Pamela Odhiambo and businessman Robert Okong’o for the ODM gubernatorial ticket.

Mwabe claimed that the rumours about his stepping down are political propaganda by his rivals who are looking for political fodder.

“It is clear that my rivals have sensed defeat and started these baseless rumours to confuse my supporters,” Mwabe said.
