How UDA settled on 5 Ex-MPs for EALA nominations

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party on Wednesday, November 16, voted to elect nominees for membership in the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA).

President William Ruto led the party into picking the nominees.

“It’s up to you to select those who will be MPs of the East African Legislative Assembly,” he said.

The party has settled on the five nominees for the assembly.

Mombasa senator, Hassan Omar, Zipporah Kering, David Ole Sankok, Fred Muteti and Falhada Dekow Iman were picked from the shortlist of 15.

The list of the nominees will be scrutinised in Parliament, where MPs will vote to either confirm or reject the nominees on Thursday.

The ODM party had earlier fronted Winnie Odinga, Suleiman Shahbal, Mohammed Diriye, Timothy Bosire, Beatrice Askul and Justus Kizito.
