Media personality Willis Raburu has revealed on what he did to achieve his desired body weight.

Raburu said his decision to lose weight was influenced by his son and fiance Ivy Namu.

The Citizen Tv presenter went through gastric bypass surgery, a weight-loss surgery that involves creating a small pouch from the stomach and connecting the newly created pouch directly to the small intestine.

Its not making fun waking up and trying a trouser and its doesn’t fit you, you equally worry by the time i was going for the surgery i was not doing well, I was 164kgs i needed surgery because my blood pressure and cholesterol were high

“I went for gastric bypass surgery. I respect people who persistently go to the gym.The gym is a lot of work .I had a good trainer but i would lose weight but i would regain that weight again very quickly,” said Raburu.

Blood Pressure

Taking to social media, Raburu narrated how his clothes started to become too tight and his blood pressure kept spiking frequently making him to lose his breathe.

“Its not making fun waking up and trying a trouser and its doesn’t fit you, you equally worry by the time i was going for the surgery i was not doing well, I was 164kgs i needed surgery because my blood pressure and cholesterol were high,” he furthered.

His efforts at the gym he says did not bear fruits and he decided to quit.

This forced him to heed to the Doctors advice of undertaking the Sh.900,000 procedure.

“He told me if i was not going to lose some kilogram of the body weight ,soon or later ,it would be a recipe for my death,” narrated Raburu.
