Daughters of Raila: Youth leaders hit western region to popularize Azimio

A group of young leaders allied to Azimio One Kenya Coalition has taken campaigns a notch in the western region over the weekend to popularize the presidential bid of Raila Odinga.

The team dubbed Daughters of Raila trans versed Kakamega, Bungoma, Trans Nzoia and Busia counties in search of votes for the Raila-Karua ticket .

The group assured the locals that the Azimio ticket would take care of the interests of women having Karua as deputy presidential candidate.

The Whitney Mwenje led team further noted that they are also fighting for the rights of women seeking various leadership positions.

“One of our agenda is also to mentor women and introduce them into the political space,” she said.

They also exuded confidence that Raila is headed for a round one victory in the August polls.

“We believe that Raila will be the fifth President come August and we will do anything to make that possible,” said Mwenje.

Daughters Of Raila was started in 2017 as a peer group to support the candidature of the then NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga.

The association has members countrywide.
