Nandi Governor Stephen Sang has dismissed claims of Nandi changing his deputy ahead of the August polls.

Speaking in Kapsabet town during a thanks giving event organized for the newly elected leaders in Nandi county, Sang assured the residents that he will retain his Deputy Governor Dr Yulita Mitei as he seeks a second term in office.

I want to thank Dr Yulita who has stood by me and supported me in every development within the county, and I want to take this opportunity to say that she will remain my deputy

Sang applauded his deputy saying that they have worked hand in hand together to develop the county and that she has been assisting him in establishing development projects.

“I want to thank Dr Yulita who has stood by me and supported me in every development within the county, and I want to take this opportunity to say that she will remain my deputy,” affirmed Sang.

He further congratulated the newly elected leaders who will fly the UDA party flag in the August polls as he urged them asking them to be prepared for the tough task ahead of them.

Governor Sang will be seeking for a second term in office under the UDA party ticket.
