Prof Magoha mourns Former President Kibaki in a special way

Education CS Prof George Magoha mourned Kibaki in a special way.

In a one minute tribute, Professor Magoha noted that he learnt a lot from Kibaki, and that he will miss the former president

In a tribute statement during the release of 2021 KCSE results, he described the late former President as a statesman of incomparable ability.

We all know his role in starting and ensuring the free primary education is a success. At the tertiary education level, he expanded the university space allowing us to have the many universities available today

“The late former President is a statesman of incomparable ability who we remember for the much he did for our country and the education sector,” he noted.

Performance Contracting

The CS explained that the performance contracting system and the performance-based managing system that he has widely been championing are some of the lessons he learned from him and that he will hold dear.

He also highlighted the Kibaki’s dedication to providing education both basic and tertiary education to as many Kenyans as possible.

“We all know his role in starting and ensuring the free primary education is a success. At the tertiary education level, he expanded the university space allowing us to have the many universities available today,” he explained

He urged other politicians in the country to learn from the former President and shun destructive politics but instead pursue impact-centered leadership.
