Radio personality Jalang’o has confirmed that February 9, will be his last day on air.

Taking to his Instagram account, the Kiss FM presenter wrote; “Tarehe Tisa February ndio siku yangu ya mwisho.”

Jalang’o, whose official name is Felix Odiwuor confirmed that he is in the race for Lang’ata Parliamentary race in the August 9, election, and he wanted to quit radio job in order to concentrate on his campaigns.

Jalang’o also known as Jalas said in his YouTube channel that he was sure of winning the seat currently held by Nickson Korir, adding that he rarely shows interest in things just for the sake of it.

He said his mission is to improve the lives of the residents of Lang’ata.

He however noted that he would wish to have a young and energetic person to replace him at Kiss FM and continue with his good work with his cohort Kamene Goro.

“Jalango drops the mic…stage …radio … tv … coming to and end. We are about to hang the boots … take new challenge. But we can’t just drop the mic down … I need to pass it on to the next Jalang’o,” Jalang’o wrote.

Jalang’o started his career as an actor and a comedian several years ago making him earn a spot in Papa Shirandula Show which airs on Citizen TV.

He also got to perform at the Churchil Show, throwing him further to the limelight, and earning him radio host jobs.

Jalas never shy off telling his story to people on where he started, to where he is. He often stresses that hard work and determination pays.
