Deputy President William Ruto is on Friday scheduled to host a women conference at the Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi.

The coalition will be seeking to sign the Kenya Kwanza Women Charter.

This comes days after the launch of the UDA Women’s League.

However, the Kenya Kwanza team has a condition for press coverage of the event.

Why women

In their invite, the coalition urged media houses to deploy an all-woman crew to cover the event.

According to the DP led coalition, the decision is part of celebrating the role women play in various fields.

“We encourage your Media House/Online News Blog to deploy an all women crew,” said UDA Communications Director Wanjohi Githae.

“We seek to celebrate and highlight the important role played by Women in all sectors,” he furthered.
