Former Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma on Friday launched his candidature for the county’s top position.

Ranguma now says he is back on a plan to consolidate abandoned projects.

The former county boss said that the current administration abandoned his projects which would have otherwise developed the county.

“I want to come back and consolidate abandoned projects which will bring back the economicsof Kisumu,” said Ranguma.

Ranguma further bluffed the sitting governor for riding on the projects of World Bank and national government.

He was accompanied by former EAC Chief Administrative Secretary Ken Obura, Senator Fred Outa and former Kisumu County Speaker Onyango Oloo.

The move which they call ‘Plan B’ came in after Obura lost the ODM party ticket following the decision by the party to give Nyong’o a direct ticket.

“As we promised we are back with plan B which will see us through to the ballot,” said Oloo

Members of the team dubbed ‘unbwogable’ criticized Nyong’o’s government saying it was unable to deliver.

“We are not going to rest and see non progressive leaders lead the county for the next five years,” said Obura.

Ranguma is seeking to unseat Nyong’o on the Movement for Democracy and Growth party(MDG).

Other candidates include Shedrack Okindo who is vying as an independent candidate.
