Evans Kidero: This is why I wanted to lead the people of Homa Bay

Former Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero has lifted the lid on why he wanted to lead the people of Homa Bay County.

Kidero said that the county is still behind in terms of development and he felt that he could have added value if he was elected.

“There was no development at all in the county,” said Kidero during an interview with one of the local television stations.

The former Governor said that he has always directed a lot of his resources to help the people of Homa Bay county.

“I was born in Nairobi but my folks and the people I help and where most of my income goes in terms of helping people is in Homa Bay,” he said.

He however says that unlike Nairobi which is the most developed city, Homa Bay is at position 43 in terms of county’s development.

Kidero filed a petition seeking to overturn Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga’s win after losing the August polls.

He is set to prove that the win was attained on ground of malpractices and that the Governor is not fit to hold the office of county boss.
