Kakamega Deputy-Governor elect Ayub Savula is demanding for an equal share of governance in the county.

Savula now claims he is co-governor and not a deputy.

He says everything in the county government including CS positions will be divided equally between him and the Governor-elect Fernandes Baraza.

Fifty…fifty… I am not a Deputy Governor. I am co-governor of Kakamega. That was our agreement

Pre-election agreement

The former Lugari MP said that in their agreement with Barasa, they will split the county positions with the incoming governor by half.

Just like President William Ruto promised Wetangula and Mudavadi 30% of government we see him living to that promise

“Fifty…fifty… I am not a Deputy Governor. I am co-governor of Kakamega. That was our agreement,” said Savula.

“Just like President William Ruto promised Wetangula and Mudavadi 30% of government we see him living to that promise, ” he furthered.

Savula had earlier hinted mending ways with President elect William Ruto after he claimed that he was coerced to support Azimio leader Raila Odinga.

The duo will take the oath of office on September 15th at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega Town.
