Voter turnout

Also in attendance were Governors James Ongwae (Kisii), Anyang Nyongo (Kisumu), Kisumu Deputy Governor Matthews and coordinators from all Nyanza counties.

Mbadi further noted that the team will leave nothing to chance in its bid to garner 95 per cent of the votes in the region.

“Our target as a region which is producing a presidential candidate is to have a voter turnout of at least 95 per cent,” he said.

He added: “Voter turnout must give Raila 100 per cent.”

Ongwae called on the leaders to be committed and put more energy as they drum support for Raila.

“Raila is going to be the 5th president but we must work hard and tell our people to turn out and vote,” he said.

Nyong’o said the main goal of the team is to spread to supporters the coalitions agenda in transforming the county.

“Azimio has the best ideas that we have had for the last 40 years on how we can transform the country.”
