Kisumu Central MP Fred Ouda now claims the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party primaries were rigged.

Ouda is the first sitting Member of Parliament to be defeated in Nyanza after he was thrashed by business man Joshua Oron in the primaries that were held on Tuesday 19th April.

Oron garnered 6,842 votes against the first time MP’s 5,362 to clinch the ODM party ticket.

In 2017 Ouda clinched the ODM party ticket defeating former East African Community Chief Administrative Secretary Ken Obura and Richard Ogendo who accused him of rigging.

In the undated video Ouda celebrates stealing 2017 elections and asks people who accused him of stealing elections to move on.

“This ODM nominations I usually don’t know who wins it, your steal from your competitor and work for five years just like I did in Kisumu,” said Ouda.

“When you are stolen from relax and wait for your time,” he added.

His 2017 competitor Richard Ogendo took to social media to respond to the viral video expressing his contentment with results of the primaries while urging Ouda to move on.

“I am glad I honorably accepted the will of the people and stood by you after you were declared winner in 2017 and as you served for five years. How you are going to navigate this one is up to you,” read the post.

“Truth always comes out no matter how long it takes…trust me even the events of this past nominations shall one day come out. I can now enjoy my weekend a happy politician,” it furthered.

All eyes are now set to see Ouda’s next step.
