Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana is taking a step back from Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition.

Through a post on his twitter page the Governor expressed his miseries which he says came after Kalonzo Musyoka joined the coalition.

Kibwana said he has been forced to take a low profile in Azimio citing that the Wiper party leader wants him out of all Azimio structures.

“It is proving impossible to work with Kalonzo Musyoka in Azimio Ukambani. After he joined us, he has wanted especially me out of all Azimio structures. I have no choice but to be at peace with this sad reality,” read the post.

The Makueni senatorial hopeful will now have a lower profile in the Raila Odinga’s presidential campaigns.

While speaking to one of the local media stations after the post, Kibwana has however confirmed that he is still a member of the Azimio la Umoja team.

“When you are pushed to the corner, and there is no space to wiggle or even make a contribution, you are left with no option but to step back,” he said during the interview.

This comes after Kalonzo and his allies demanded for the running mate position in the coalition
