Speaking at Kisumu National Polytechnic Grounds which is hosting ball games, Kamau called on sports fans to turn up for the event.

He said the first three days will be packed with both indoor and outdoor games, leaving Friday for finals.

Football, netball, volleyball, pool table, badminton, basketball, athletics, are some of the sports genre represented at the fete.

Kamau said the event will also see golf sports, which brings together mostly members of the boards and management of the water companies.

“We want the public to come out and enjoy the sports. It is not just sports alone, but we have learning packages for all,” said Kamau.

Mr Kamau was accompanied by WASCO Secretary General Joseph Kihara.

“This is a full package, and our hope is that the fans will get value for their time,” said Kihara.
