Louis Van Gaal’s shocking revelation about his health

Netherlands national team coach Louis Van Gaal is battling prostrate cancer.

he former Manchester United tactician disclosed this, saying he has been undergoing treatment.

In an interview on RTL TV, Van Gaal said “I think you don’t tell people you work like that because you might influence their choices, their decisiveness, so I thought they shouldn’t know, you don’t die from prostate cancer at least not 90 per cent of the cases.”

The Dutch has however received a lot of support from the football world vowing to stand by his side. 

“Everybody at Manchester United is fully behind our former manager, Louis Van Gaal, in his battle against cancer. Sending you strength and courage,” Manchester United tweeted.

FC Barcelona also wrote; “Our thoughts and prayers go out to our former Barca Manager Louis Van Gaal, who has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Stay strong, Louis and get well soon.”

EUFA also sent best wishes.

Real Madrid said that it send affection and support to the coach, noting that Van Gaal will always have the strength that he’s always shown and it will help him overcome this adversity.   

Van Gaal’s team will face Qatar, Ecuador and Senegal in group A of the world cup in Qatar.
