Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua has officially joined  the Azimio la Umoja coalition to back Raila Odinga’s presidential bid.

This move came after several meetings which were concluded at Serena Hotel where the agreement was signed.

“I have chosen to be with Raila without struggle, we have been in trenches together and from today we shall be out to popularize Azimio la Umoja coalition and his 10 point agenda,” she said.

“I am here to confirm that Narc Kenya is supporting Azimio. Without integrity all promises will amount to nothing,” she furthered.

The Kirinyaga gubernatorial aspirant also added that she was drawn to Odinga’s camp because a majority of his allies want the best for the country.

“I have been looking keenly and I have been able to identify a critical mass of good people within the Azimio coalition and that is all that is needed to fight for the second liberation in this country,” she said.

According Narc Kenya Secretary General Michael Orwa, the party will not field a presidential candidate and will instead support Raila’s bid to be the head of state.

He further noted that Narc Kenya has officially severed ties with the One Kenya Alliance.

“The Narc Kenya party is grateful for this journey with our brothers and sisters in OKA but that journey has just come to an end,” he said.

Raila also noted that their coming together will propagate the journey towards liberating the country.
