Kisumu County Woman Representative seat aspirant Dr Rose Kisia has asked those seeking political seats in the upcoming polls to campaign with dignity.

Dr Kisia said a number of aspirants have resorted to badmouthing their competitors, hence diverting the public from their leadership agenda.

Speaking to the media in Kisumu, the former lecturer at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST) noted that this move is a disservice to the voters.

“It is a big concern when aspirants divert from selling their policies to insulting others,” she said.

My agenda

Dr Kisia is among over six aspirants who are eying the ODM ticket for the position.

“Politics come and go, and we will remain leaders here even after the polls. Let us be peaceful and friendly,” she added.

She said voters will evaluate all the aspirants and pick the best in terms of policies and not insults.

Dr who had previously served as Trade and Tourism noted that she will concentrate on empowering residents through education, economic boost, health promotion and food security.

“We have lots of opportunities out there, and what a leader needs is to expose the people to these opportunities through their networks,” she said.
