Kieni MP Kanini Kega has launched a passionate appeal to Raila Odinga’s Nyanza supporters not to disappoint come August 9.

Kega said the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader has since been accepted across the country, and Nyanza must take a lead in voter turn out.

Kega who spoke during the Azimio la Umoja rally at the Kenyatta Stadium in Mamboleo, Kisumu on Friday said that Raila’s supporters had in the past let him down by not turning out to vote 100 per cent.

“Nyinyi mnakuwa na mchezo wakati mwingine, lazima mubadilishe hiyo tabia,” (You are big jokers some times, and you have to change this time round) he said in reference to poor voter turn out in the area in the past.

His sentiments were echoed by Suna East MP Junet Mohamed who called upon the Nyanza voters to make sure they turn out 100 per cent.

Kega joined other leaders in the rally that brought together Azimio bigwigs led by Raila himself.

Others were Dr Mukhisa Kituyi, Governor Charity Ngilu, DAP-K leader Wafula Wamunyinyi among others.
