Why Kenyans have been unable to buy their tokens from Kenya Power

Kenya Power has issued a statement in response to the complains that have been raised by Kenyans on social media on Thursday.

Various individuals were unable pay for the pre-paid token system leaving them in the dark.

“Leaving the house with my clothes not ironed,” @Mr_Pockah wrote on Twitter.

“The  token system is not responding,I have been unable to buy tokens since yesterday,” said @Kevv_254.

The Statement

In response,the company issued a statement saying that they are experiencing a technical problem affecting the service.

“We would like to inform our customers that we are experiencing a technical hitch which is affecting pre-paid token generation and post-paid bill payment,” read the statement.

The firm further added that they are working on the system which has so far affected various household and business.

“Our team has identified the issue,and restoration of normal services is currently in progress so that customers can access the affected platforms soon,” it added.
