Governor Wanga launches roadmap in a bid to push service delivery

Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga has launched a ten point roadmap in a move to push for development the region.

In a resounding call to action, the Governor outlined essential strategies for effective service delivery in the county.

Speaking during the orientation of top county officers in Rusinga, Wanga stressed on the importance of unity and teamwork among county officers.

She further called on collective efforts, urging everyone to put aside personal differences and work harmoniously towards the betterment of the community.

“Know the importance of transparency and accountability in utilizing public resources efficiently for the people’s benefit, that is doing the right thing even when no one is watching,” said Wanga.

Healthcare

She further expressed her determination to reverse negative trends in healthcare and population outcomes.

“We need to come up with innovative strategies to improve the quality of services and ensure the well-being of every citizen in Homa Bay,” she adds.

She also encouraged the need to recognize the potential for economic growth while noting the importance of creating a conducive environment for businesses to thrive.

The Governor urged the officers to deliver on priority areas within set timelines.This she said would lead to more tangible and immediate benefits for the residents of the county.

“By working together, the county will address its challenges more effectively and uplift the lives of its people,” she said.

Governor Wanga stressed the utmost importance of transparency and accountability in utilizing public resources, saying it will help build public trust.

“We want to ensure that their needs are at the forefront of decision-making,” she said.

“By creating opportunities for future generations, Homa Bay County lays the foundation for a prosperous and thriving future,” she concluded.

Among the delegates present were CECMs, Directors and Chief Officers from different departments in the County.
