Inside Ruto’s State House meeting with Atwoli

COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli has met President William Ruto.

The Thursday, December 1st State House meeting which looked like a personal reconciliation saw the duo discuss politics, labour movement issues.

“This morning I paid a courtesy call to H.E President William Ruto whereby we held discussions on Kenya’s ratification of ILO C190 and outsourcing of labour,” said Atwoli.

At the same time, the president also met a section of leaders from the Luhya community.

Some of the leaders who attended the meeting include Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula, Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale, and former Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala.

Atwoli said they also discussed matters affecting region.

“We went there to discuss Luhya unity and how we can take our community forward,” said Atwoli.

In the August 2022 elections, Atwoli campaigned against Ruto’s presidential bid.

He was die hard supporter of Azimio leader Raila Odinga.
