Chief Cabinet nominee Musalia Mudavadi has denied grabbing land at Nairobi’s Woodley Estate.

The former Local Government Minister was put to task to explain how he acquired a plot said to be belonging to Nairobi County Government.

He clarified that the property still belongs to the county government, and he is just a tenant.

I stayed in Woodley Estate and our family has always had the property and we still pay the rent to County Government of Nairobi

“The said property in Woodley Estate belongs to County Government of Nairobi,” he said.

He accused the anti-corruption agency of having unverified facts about the ownership of the property.

“I stayed in Woodley Estate and our family has always had the property and we still pay the rent to County Government of Nairobi,” he said.

The National Assembly Majority leader Opiyo Wandanyi had raised concerns on how Mudavadi would protect public property with the Woodley property baggage.
