Migori Woman Representative aspirant Denittah Ghatti has called for a six-piece voting method for ODM candidates in Migori.

Ghatti said the six-piece voting pattern will enable ODM to have more MCAs, MPs, senators and Woman Representatives in the county assembly and parliament as well as Governors.

She further noted that the pattern in favour of the ODM party will solidify their party leader’s position in the Azimio la Umoja Coalition government.

“I urge you people of Migori to only consider ODM party candidates in the coming elections,” said Ghatti.

“This will ensure our president have enough support from County to Senates and National Assemblies,” she furthered.

The former Woman Representative stressed that they risk putting Raila Odinga’s presidency in jeopardy should they mix elective seats with independent candidates.

Speaking during Suna West MP Peter Masara’s welcoming ceremony, Ghatti said under the Azimio La Umoja, the ODM party should be stronger and that is if residents vote for party candidates.

“Baba wants our support from the grassroots to the national level. We risk losing this support if we elect non-ODM party candidates,” stated Ghati.

Ghati who is seeking re-election under the ODM party ticket also asked for support citing her previous track record.

She will face off Jubilee’s Lilian Akugo, Zilpa Ochuodho, Fatuma Mohamed, Josephine Sirega and Hellen Obado all contesting as independent candidates.
