“The president’s body will lie in the national assembly for three days between Monday 25th and Wednesday 27th for the members of the public and the rest of the country’s leadership to pay their respects,” Matiang’i said.

The CS also noted that a comprehensive plan will be released with details of upcoming activities to take place before the burial.

Matiang’i further added that members of the public wishing to visit the family may do so on 26 and 27 April at president Kibaki’s Nyari office.

“We are going to provide details and a map to Kibaki’s Nyari office for senior members of the public and diplomats who may want to visit with the family,” Matiangi added.
