Sauti Sol lead vocalist Bien Aime Baraza has blasted the German embassy over delayed VISAs for the bands upcoming European tour.

In an apology for the bands late appearance at the launch of the Sahara platform, Bien narrated their experience.

“I first want to apologise for not being here on time .It is very unlikely Sauti Sol not to be on time…but I think I need to explain where we were and what was happening,” he said.

“We were down the road at the German embassy collecting our Visas for our tour and what was a 5 minute process became a three hour process,” he furthered.

According to Bien that was is the most unsignifying and disrespectful way to treat an African content creator of their calibre.

Western Embassies

The ‘Mbwe Mbwe’ hit maker later took to social media and extended his anger to all the Western embassies in Africa calling on them to offer their services with dignity.

“Western embassies must treat African Visa applicants with dignity. We are not going to beg. We will be taxed. Our time is valuable,” he stated.

Bien went ahead to warn the Africans working at the embassies not to participate in neo colonialism.

“Africans working in these spaces must be careful not to perpetuate neo-colonialism in the line of duty.”

Sauti Sol is set to visit Europe for a musical tour from April 1.
